DAN M.: That's a lot of carbs and calories for cutting. I've been cutting for the last 8 weeks by fasting. My meals are between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM, sometimes I eat up to four times during that window, but most days it's only twice, some days I go 24 hours between meals. I cut from 230 lbs to 205 in 8 weeks. I lift maybe twice a week, I usually bike for only 10 mins. a day on my airdyne and occasionally hit the total gym for about 10 mins. a few days a week.

Kalash Operator: I’ve been using a macronutrient calculator to determine my daily macro needs. I’ve seen very slow results. I was frustrated so I quit following the macros I was given by the calculator. Instead, I decreased my protein intake by 20g-30g, and I reduced by carbs to a minimal. I’ve seen faster results this way, and I haven’t notice any muscle lost. At 188 pounds, I’m consuming 140-160 grams of protein a day. I’ve been doing this for a month, and I lost 5 pounds with only 30 minutes of HITT cardio every other day. Anyone here think I’m not consuming enough protein?
