PLEASE READ* Make sure you can properly perform the movements before actually trying to do them! Those of you who try these movements are responsible for knowing your own bodies capabilities and limitations in regards to fitness I suggest a light stretch or stationary jog prior to performing the push-ups. Also, if you so happen to have any previous injuries to your knees, or lower-back, etc.- I suggest you use these movements with caution and consult with your physician if you are unsure! Be sure to keep good form and breathing throughout this exercise! Also don't forget, to get the BEST results from these movements it is vital to sustain a healthy diet and workout routine with a steady meal plan! Enjoy guys! PUSH-UP TIP: Where you keep your feet is up to you- the wider they are spread the more balance you will have. Make sure your arms are shoulder width apart and your leaning your shoulders just slightly over your hands from your vision. From there, you want to thrust your hips but keep your pelvis and mid-section tight and braced. FORM TIP: Keep the inside of your elbows in when you are doing push-ups! You want to scrape the side of your ribs with the inside of your elbows! BREATHING TIP: Keep your back straight and your head up! Breathe out as you push-up and breathe in as you release back down. EXTRA TIP: Don't lock your elbows completely when repping push-ups during a workout. You don't want to put the stress on your joints. Brett, my view is that perhaps not only is it being taken wrongly that you said "for the ladies/women" you can use your knees but rather also that a male who is not in a position to do a regular one and might also have to use his knees will now suddenly feel like less of a man or discouraged from doing them altogether.
