How I Eat Healthy on a Low Budget! (Cheap & Clean)

I am living on a budget, just like most of you. Is it really possible to eat healthy? YES! Here are my top 20 tips on how I shop smart, what ingredients I buy to live and eat healthy. Healthy living is not expensive. It's just a matter of taking time to plan your meals, grocery list, keep it within your budget and you will be able to live and eat healthy, lose weight, look and feel your best! =) So let's not give ourselves anymore money excuses! Lucy B: Minute 2:51 I would change the jam for a more nutritious food as for example peanut butter the one is label peanut and salt. (No more ingredients). Or maybe buy some sheets of some seaweed. Also, Minute 2:07 dented can! Instead of can food, cook beans like; lentils, garbanzos u other to cook with your rice or any small grain to improve the protein quality. Add parsley or cilantro, something green. One cup of legumes will give you tree cups once it is cook, same is with rice. Better avoid can foods too much sodium and preservatives they are harmful on the long run they make you sick, avoid buying cans especially if they are dented (usually those are the one marked down) they could contain the bacteria called Clostridium botulinum. It is rare, but its toxin can kill you. I do like the rest of the video!

There is cheap and expensive food and quality is usually more expensive than poor quality. Confucius say "Many things can be similar but they are not the one!" Example Lady and Ladyboy! :-)

Amy Foo: Very good videos! I still prefer organics foods and fresh vegetables, so I grow my own organics vegetables and herbs in pots(if you have good organics land in your compound, then grow them in the ground) which are healthier and cheap too!

HUYI1: imo it's not true about the branded and own brand food items costing less anymore, these days they cost the same or equally priced or even more than the branded ones epically in sainsburys that place is wallet rape each time i go in there.

i want to eat more fresh fish but it's expensive to get the decent stuff, all i can afford is battered fish which is not healthy at all, i want to eat more chicken but i don't have the time to cook from scratch at all, all i can afford is sausages and beefburgers to stretch me for the week and that is not helping, i've put back on 2 stone which i worked so hard to loose and i get so depressed about it.

maybe some stir fry recipes would be more suited for me? some inexpensive ones that will last me a week would be good, any form of meat are expensive so that is a factor also.

crys m: When I go food shopping I always get whatever fruit and veggies are in sale. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but there isn't a fruit or vegetable that I don't like so this method works for me. It is a really good way to save money, have variety and even try new things. Great tip!

Lynette Gayle-Turpin: You can get all your protein from veggies. You do not need meat that is full of fat and hormones. We do not need as much protein as you think. In fact we overeat protein when we eat meat. Stick to the veggies.

John Veca: Your advice is very good regarding the processed and organic foods. Forget about organic as it's not necessary, but ditching the processed crap is essential. Fruits, veggies, eggs, nuts, whole grains, all the really good stuff that our bodies really like. And remember, small batch craft beer typically contains all natural ingredients, but be careful. The calorie hit can be high if overdone.
