Naajo Khan: My lean body mass is 99 so does that if I go with the .5 I can only eat around 50g of protein? I usually have about 90g

VIDYMAE: THX !!

Колька Пепси: Just google Woo&Pep :D

T H: Not that I didn't believe you but had to come back and say I saw a talk with a doctor that specializes in protein and he had some pretty solid evidence based science about the need of increased protein especially on people over 40 and had some older keto clients that lost a lot of weight but also a much higher amount of lean muscle mass. He talked about how we all lose muscle mass as we age no matter what but increased protein intake and resistance training can minimize that loss. But with hormonal changes as we age it's much harder to gain lean muscle mass, so it's important that people over 40 get higher levels of protein on their keto diets than the "moderate" recommendation most keto proponents suggest. Also reference was made on people doing the carnivore diet. He also talked about glucoseneogenesis about how the body only makes so much glucose regardless of the protein consumption. He did acknowledge that protein does spike insulin levels but it's significantly less and slower than crabs or sugar. I've found myself going down the Google hole reading more studies and papers, and by doing my own research not only is their clear evidence that everyones needs are different based on age sex etc and there's no real set plan that works for everyone, I think that the only macro anyone needs to be concerned with is keeping carbs below 20-30gr. and trting intermittent fasting. Those are the only two things that truly seem to benefit almost everyone regardless of sex or age. Obviously if you're looking to reduce weight there has to be some level of caloric restriction but that seems to just happen naturally for everyone on keto and IF. In fact when it comes to IF after fasting seem that those who are on a keto diet prior to IF seem to consume less calories after fasting than those on other diets.
What I've always enjoyed about you is that you've been less zealot and black and white about keto than many others and encouraged people to do their own research. The more I do from actual research scientists and medical doctors (that are researching low carb) The more I realize how on the money you are in your videos.
I think everyone should just play with their own diets and figure out what makes them feel the best while still seeing results they can live with. We're all so vastly different metabolically.

Wendy Nichols: I was told to eat
50 g protein
20 g or less carb
The rest of my calories from fat 175-200 g
Been at this 15 weeks and not down 20 lbs. yet.
So, I've decreased my fats to
100-130 g and the scale has not budged. I actually feel heavier.
I do not know my lean body mass.
I'm fat and want to lose fat, period.
I'm frustrated!
I track all my food. I practice IF easily 16/8, and I eat 2 meals usually. I hit my macros & eat my tdee.
I have hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue and really thought this was my key to healing and losing this bloody weight. Suggestions (?)

nycgemini7222: One of the more informative and helpful videos. Thanks for clarifying the protein confusion. I workout 5-6x per week and was eating 30-40 grams/ day. I felt weak, tired and hungry. Once I increased protein intake to 100g roughly (I'm currently 140lbs) everything changed including body composition. My strength also came back and then some.

Laura: omg you're seriously the best

destroyerplayer: I like to eat 300g a day at 150lb male

Jim S: another awesome video thank you

bär nie: poeple who have a adrenalin problem (hight cortisol low testoseron) could have problems with too much protein per meal. I do when i am on 3 meals. BUT when i do intermittent fasting and 2 meals i can double up my protein intake without shugar cravings. AND i can do my cardio program every day without any problems and a realy clear mind. Yust listen too your body.
Thank you so much for your informations 💪

Spencer Steele: do you have a calorie range you start your clients for weight loss?
500 cal deficit from maintenance 75/20/5 %?

Brent Fraliex: My macros are 209f/125p/31c for 2500 Cal. I'm in weight loss mode currently 467.5 down 37.6 in 44 days. What is the acceptable amount of fat to leave on the table, if I eat something that throws off my macros, like chicken or fish? I've had days where for dinner I've have more time figuring out what finishes off my fat workout over doing my protein. The other day I had 4 tbsp of Sour cream and 4 sticks of Co jack cheese with some pecans. That seems like it'd be better off just leaving fat on the table instead of eating crazy combinations of food for dinner.

destroyerplayer: what do you think about creatine?

Gregory Serrano: I'm a rugby player and bodybuilder. I eat plenty of protein while I'm on keto. Plenty of dark leafy greens and high fiber from stuff like walnuts, flaxseed meal, coconut or almond flour, chia seeds, spices and herbs... it's not so complicated, people just make it that way. People have different carb sensitivities but you're generally safe sub 30g carbs a day, and it's a lot easier to maintain that than it seems. Been doing this for 5 months now, it's cake. I don't take MCT oil, but I have coconut oil caps and apple cider vinegar. And I eat 1 to 2 meals a day because of my schedule, sort of like a warrior diet in a 4hr window.

Lisa Diaz: Finally! Somebody out there understands the distinction between medical keto and weight loss keto. I don't lose my shit if I have too much protein in my daily routine. Nice video - thanks for the info!

Allie K: Cake !!!! 😜👍🏽

AdrN: been on keto for 3 months. during keto when i eat too much meat i get hemroids, but taking in protien in other forms has helped. i keep my protien around 80g-120g now but before i didn't think i needed to keep it within that range till i got the H.

antigonepc: Love this. I was following a fellow Youtuber who advised to eat 200 grams of fat a day and 50 or less grams of protein. I was miserable and felt like crap (a person can eat only so much butter). This makes me feel better about getting away from that way of thinking.

Sub Scriber: 0.5-0.8g per kg of ideal body weight.

Michael: This was my second attempt at keto and the second time I'm having the same concern about not going to the bathroom frequently enough. I was about 8 weeks in and if I were lucky, I would go once a day and it would be a very small amount and lots of wiping. I would consider my diet really healthy, lots of avocado, fatty fish, sauerkraut, greens, lots of water, fatty meat, stop eating after 6 and have my first meal at 1pm. I'm already a really fit guy so I wasn't doing it for weight loss reasons but rather health (psoriasis). Now that I switched over to a vegan diet HCLF I'm going about 3 times a day. All the fiber I take it. But did you have any bathroom issues when starting keto? I feel fluke that's an important issue that doesn't get addressed enough. Thanks!
