Social anxiety is beyond that-- it's an absolute fear. It's so strong that it prevents you from going places and doing things. It's limiting happiness and the ability to socialize. When you're young you feel a desire to conform to be accepted and are often overly concerned what other people think of you. Im not to this stage yet, but ever seen old men who dress in ridiculous outfits ? You would be mortified to be seen in such. They are comfortable with themselves and dont care what other people think. I was in my 30s when
I gradually decided "I'm going to be nice to everyone and if they dont like me I dont give a shit."
Its a slow process but it comes with maturity. He gave great advice in the video to deal with it now, but its likely to get easier in time anyway. Dont lose hope.
