Mohak Narang: I used to be socially awkward and feel anxious in public all the time. I used to be uncomfortable in public, even with my friend around. But sometime ago I realized this isn't taking me anywhere and I'm missing out on all the good stuff life and people have to offer. So I decided to face my fears and just be myself. I still get a little nervous sometimes but that's very rare. Trust me, all you need to do to overcome this anxiety is to face it a couple of times and be yourself without giving a damm about what people might think of you because everyone is so obsessed with themselves they don't really have time to think about you.

I have reason why people wouldn’t like me or worry if I say something stupid cos I almost always say something stupid that I have to repeat in my head over and over again even for months..I will go and do it but I’m dreading the social situation every time even more intense. Breathing makes me more stressed. Only agree with good therapist and medication.

emme briggs: My education is extremely affected by my social anxiety, I can’t go to school I hate it, I’m at home and my mum gets angry when I don’t go because she will get in trouble but I can’t help it. I can’t see why I can’t just have online school instead. I can’t even talk to my family without breaking out into a massive cry because they put me under the spotlight and I feel so judged by them even if it’s just a “what you doing for your birthday!” This was my situation last night and it didn’t go so well. Be comfortable about yourself - this makes it less difficult when you are with other people.
Challenge youself - you will gain confidence by doing things - especially by doing things that push your limits.
