INSTAGRAM FLYWITHCAPTAINJOE: https://goo.gl/TToDlg MY WEBSITE: https://goo.gl/KGTSWK Dear friends and followers! Today I´ll be answering a question on "How much fuel does a jet airplane need?". But more regarding trip fuel, contingency fuel, alternate fuel, extra fuel, final reserve and taxi fuel. This is a basic guideline on fuel figures and fuel planning of any commercial jet airplane. How much fuel jet airplanes eventually use, will be discussed in a upcoming video. Thank you very much for watching. The next video will be online next saturday! Tom B.: waste of 6minutes! You didn't actually answered how much fuel the plane needs to do an example flight route...
Miguel Lugo: Hi Joe, what are the things you look for during a pre flight check outside the plane. thanks a fan.
nathansd8: Ayeee Alaska Airlines represent
Bangsbangs Booom: just full tank your fuel tank and enjoy your travel .
rohnerw: I have watched...dozens I think, of your videos. I must say, I have enjoyed each and every one. Thank-you for doing them. Enjoyable to watch, listen too, and educational. I don't think it gets any better than that. :)
jhonnyextremo: captain??? first officer my friend, everything at his time... good job
Efrain Rodriguez: Can you make a video showing the details of the PFD, colors, symbols, etc? Will be cool. Thanks.
larry spizzirri: Lots of gas
Thanh Tùng Bùi: Thank you Joe! I have watched some of ur videos in respect of airplane operation. They are very nice and realistic.
I love planes and like them all. Please post more of yours soon.
Dustin van Delden: Again, a very informative video. Just as a next question, or better proposal for a new video: How do you or the airline proceed in case you (and/or your colleague) get ill, or let me say in general, unable to fly? You wake up in the morning and feel sick, either at home or even worse, somewhere on a round trip. What are the next steps to handle such a situation? Kind regards, Dustin
Ajeet Singh: How many jets are in the world
Vass: how does Skiathos work Joe? they have to bunny hop when leaving to another airport to fill up ? if they arrived half full, whats the problem?
Maldiviana: Thank you for your useful videos, Captain. A small point for your consideration: If wearing white, could you change the background color to a darker shade. That would make it easier for the eyes of your >350K viewers. The white shirt and the white background tend to wash out the image. Once again, thank you and keep up the good work.
Sam Freedman: can you make a video of how and why planes are pressurized? Thanks and I am a big fan of your videos
Karthik Reddy: respected sir I have 2.50 sight in both eyes can I become a pilot commercial are there any age restrictions right now I'm 23. please do reply Sir
Adrianpeters Peters: o.k. great videos, interesting about weight, fuel used,do airlines computing all this take into account the weight loss when meals are consumed by passengers!?!!! or indeed is there weight loss at all???? look I am trying not to talk crap (Americanism) here honest,.
Jay Lee: Thank you for the awesome video Captain Joe! This video really helped me to understand better about the fuel on board. I wish this video was available earlier when I took flight dispatcher exam. I would definitely recommend this video to my friends who are willing to take flight dispatcher exam.
By the way, when you mentioned de-icing during taxi fuel, I read a memoire written by a pilot and he mentioned something called 'Hold Over time' on his memoire. What is exactly hold over time and how do they determine that time?
Again thanks for the great video! Happy flyings!
seaplaneguy: So, if you can land on roads you don't need to carry all this extra fuel. Hence all future valid airplanes will LAND ON ROADS. This requires smaller airplanes 1-20 passengers and no jet engines for noise and response.
Pankaj Darade: hi captain joe, i would want to know, how does the wheel rotation (spinning) of A320 stops after lift off before going going inside fuselage ?
you make amazing videos they are very good for knowledge and better explained.
Jacob Simonsen: Love your lessons.
Keep it flying! ;)
