1powerfulforce: I am not sure if anyone noticed, but after she wiped the rims, she ran her finger around the rims. This was done to check for nicks so that she would ensure a good seal. It is subtle, but if you don't check your rims, you could end up with a jar or two not sealing. Anyone new to canning.....that is why she did that.

Barb: This is the third year I have made this soup recipe. I've tried others, but this is the best!  The taste is very rich- no need to use milk, etc. when heating it up for a meal.  I love watching the video each year- I like watching Vonnie. She reminds me of my mother who used to can with me. I wouldn't mind seeing other recipes that Vonnie cans on future videos.

Wayne Mims: During the video I became lost. You mixed 1/2C. flour and sugar to half of your total liquid to make a half batch which is approx. 4 Qts?

Robert G: Thanks. I can alot of tomatoe juice but have never canned tomateo soup. one recipe I found used 1/4 cup lemon juice. with the same recipe you use. I peal my tomatoes first. it takes more time but I don't have as much wast. also I use 1/2 kosher salt and 1/2 lawry's seasond salt in the Juice I make. + the Lemon and it is very good.
