Truth Lover: In Europe, you will not see Canola oil on the store shelves. Because rape seed flowers (what they make Canola oil from) grow wild all over and it is commonly known as being toxic. Many people are very allergic to the rape seed when it's in bloom. The thought of making oil out of this is shocking to the Europeans. Also, what about Coconut oil Dr. Oz? It's hard at room temperature and is supposed to be really healthy. You need to read the book KNOW YOUR FATS By Mary Enig. A very exhaustive work on oils and fats.

J.R. Anderson: The problem with saturated fat is that it turns solid at room temperature? It's a good thing our bodies stay at 98.6 degrees then. Saturated fat is only a problem when carb intake is too high (insulin). Low carb/high fat=you're fine; low fat/high carb=you're fine; high fat/high carb=death row. But hey, I'm no doctor or scientist. That's just my takeaway from research and my own experiences.
