Tip Tuesday: the 7 minute rule

You know those days you just don't WANT TO!? Yeah. We all have them - but I have a SIMPLE rule you can apply to bust through any non-valid excuse. Give yourself 7 minutes. Get out there and if in 7-minutes you STILL don't WANT TO...turn around, stop, and don't finish. Yup. You read that correctly. Don't. I've been using this rule for years and 99.9% of the time I've kept going. Why? Because usually "I don't want to" is more about me feeling tired/ lethargic and NEEDING a workout and less about me being ABLE to. And if you DO turn around? No guilt! If you've gotten your butt off the couch and are making it happen and you genuinely don't want to continue at 7 minutes? You may really NEED to just go home and rest. Take the day - no guilt!
