Angeloublue32: Thank you for not recommending fasting. I tried fasting to break a plateau with this diet and I stalled and felt worse. I tried eating more including upping my fat more than my mind thinks I should, I found I actually did lose more weight doing this and I have a lot more energy. Yes, you are completely right about not actually stalling when you think you are. I'm still working on not counting on that damn scale. 70 lbs down, from 55% body fat to 35% body, I still have 60 lbs more to go. Thanks again for your videos.

John Oh: gets asked about fat fast and does no research on it. fat fasts are a proven way to enter ketosis faster. not healthy long term but just another tool with a defined use case. there are also an increasing number of studies showing the benefit of fasting.

MrBraKis: Thank you for this Tristan! Over the last year I have lost over 100lbs of fat with the help of your videos and website and doing my own research on a ketogenic lifestyle. It is awesome to be able to burn fat and build muscle eating this way. I recently started taking my weight training more seriously and wanted to focus more on building lean muscle since I am close to my goal weight. I was 317 lbs. when I started last July and am now down to 210! I feel fantastic, full of energy, and I am loving life again. I hit road bumps along the way, anyone does, one just recently. Exactly what you are discussing here. The scale would not move, even went up some, since I upped my food intake and started lifting more. After it's been dropping for so long it was different for me. My shorts either felt the same or looser sometimes, so I had to keep the mindset you are discussing here. Just keep doing what I am doing and the awesome human body will adapt. The scale just started going down again and I am eating more than I have been over this last year, stopped the fasting and focused on the right foods, less carbs, more fat and upped my protein some to build muscle! Thank you again for your advice, help and your awesome family have helped make this possible for me. God bless bro!

barry zome: Just wondering, in losing body fat why would you want a high ratio of fat in each meal, wouldn't you keep fat intake low and use the fat on body for energy thus getting rid of body fat then add more fat in each meal after losing enough bodyfat

Sylar: I reckon most people need an intense carb night to break that plateau, actually. Gotta spike that insulin. That's counter intuitive to most.

Jafar Calley: I've had a plateau for over a year and tried absolutely everything, including fat fasts, carb loads, calorie loads, exercise more, exercise less, cutting out food groups etc.. Nothing worked. Well, it turns out that I've recently been diagnosed Hypothyroid and have started treatment for it. If anyone else has the problem of an unbreakable stall, probably go to get your thyroid checked. In my case it was Low T3 and free T3.
