Canning Tomato Sauce, Juice and Soup

It's a tomato triathlon, lol. The tomato sauce and tomato juice can be water bath canned but the tomato soup must be pressure canned because of the vegetables that were added to it. This video can be used as a guide but be sure to educate yourself on proper canning procedures before you can anything. Here's a link for a Victorio Food Strainer, you might be able to find a better deal, but this is the one I bought http://www.amazon.com/Victorio-VKP250-Model-Strainer-Sauce/dp/B001I7FP54 Pork & Beans recipe: http://www.bernardin.ca/pages/recipe_page/51.php?pid=557

lily rose: Have you ever had problems with water getting in your jars when you water bath can? I'm trying to figure our what I might be doing wrong because when I pressure can too I always seem to lose some in my pressure cooker. They always seem to seal but sometimes I can lose an inch or two. I do use tattler lids though. Wondering if you have any advice. I have asked a few people but never hear anyone's thoughts. Thanks for the videos!! I have learned so much from them!!

Incognito Xeres: Did you use, any liquid smoke?

mylightofhope: Great video and that soup sounds real good! I'm curious though, I have never removed my rings when storing my jars and I have no issues. I have been hearing from a few people on YT lately, instructions to remove them. Why?

Nadine H.: I miss you but I am happy you have a partner to share your life with

F-ZERO: You really know what your doing... Thanks for the details..

Robert Sparling: Have you ever run those leftover skins and seeds through a juicer?  I wonder if there is enough juice left to make it worthwhile.

Gary H: I am really liking the food strainer.I seen how you separated the sauce from the juice but what do you get when you don't separate it at all?I want to make puree and sauce not juice. Thanks nice video

Laura M.: I enjoy your videos, I've learned much. Thank You. I would like to ask, in regard to the Tomato Juice, do you add anything to it to flavor it?

Julie Spears: I just did tomato soup today for the first time from the Putting Food By book. I had watched this video before, but couldn't find it in time when I made my soup today. Now I've Pinned it and also bookmarked it to my favorites so I'll have it for next time. Now to buy more tomatoes. Thank you for a great and explanatory video. BTW, are the recipes you used posted somewhere?

Vicky Reid: Love your videos,,,,,thank you so much.

MidWest Katie: When I look back at some of your older videos like these I am surprised at how sad you sound. So glad you have found love and happiness!

Sullivan Homesteader: Wow! Where have you been all my life? I wish I would of seen this video BEFORE I first started canning.I just made the Ball recipe for V-8 juice. I will definitely be straining my juice from my sauce my next run. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. You have just gotten a new subscriber!

Jennifer Keegan: Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Last year was my first time canning my tomatoes & your video made it a success! I didn't want to waste all that juice just cooking it off. Bonus- All my 7 year old wanted all year when she was sick was that tomato juice. Thank you again

Ann Cadieux: Loved it. I'll be doing it this way..

Ellara Denny: This is GREAT.  I will be trying all...keep going with more videos!

thundercloud47: This year, Lord willing, and if it ever quits raining, we're hoping to plant enough tomatoes, to be able to can not only whole 'maters, but also, soup, salsa, paste and sauce and spaghetti sauce.  I'll be using your recipes for the sauce and soup, and would like to ask you, do you have a particular Spaghetti sauce recipe you use.  I used the magnifying glass thingy to see if you had posted a recipe for canning this, but couldn't find one.  If you have one, would you please consider sharing it.  I thank you kindly for your consideration.   Gretchen

mrshammerhankus: i'm going to try half-pints wide-mouths so we can heat and eat.

mrshammerhankus: amazing video. even more amazing, not a drop of red on your stove top. lol. thanks for the info on the Victorio strainer. I LOVE my kitchen gadgets. new toy getting ordered for momma!

SmoothRide: It seems to me that drying out the peels and seeds together after separating them in the juice machine, that would be a great way to process your own tomato seeds for next year's garden planting.....provided, of course, you plan to plant a garden the next year.

Lisa Strahan: Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the Victorio Food Mill. I showed my husband and he ordered one for me. This will be a HUGE time saver when making tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes. Thanks again!
